An industry exists to execute your move. We help you decide it.

A structured, clinically-informed discovery process for families and individuals deciding whether to move abroad — and where. Three meetings, one written decision memo, yours to keep. Not logistics. The step before logistics.

This is not psychotherapy, and not legal, tax, or immigration advice. See below.

Who this is for

For

  • US families and individuals seriously considering a move abroad who don't yet know where — or whether.
  • Especially those who notice the real question is about how they want to live, not visa mechanics.
  • Couples and solo movers alike.

Not for

  • Anyone who's already chosen a country and needs execution — we'll hand you off, warmly, with names.
  • Anyone in acute crisis using relocation as escape. The process will surface this honestly.
  • Anyone seeking legal, tax, or immigration advice.
What this is not
Not psychotherapy

Consulting on a life decision. No diagnosis, no treatment, no therapeutic relationship.

Not immigration, tax, or legal advice

We work at the discovery level. The memo's last section maps which professionals to hire for the real thing.

No promise you'll move

"Don't move, or not yet" is a fully legitimate outcome — and we say so before you pay.

How it works

Before Meeting 1, everyone in the household completes an intake separately, without conferring — if you're deciding with a partner, the divergence between you is usually the real material, and it's better it surfaces here than in month three abroad. If you're deciding alone, this is where you get equally honest with yourself. Between meetings, we do the research: first a wide candidate brief, then deep briefs on your surviving three.

01

The whether, and how you want to live

75–90 minutes. No countries discussed yet — the values excavation: what you're moving toward, not just away from; where you and a partner diverge, or where your own reasoning pulls in two directions; what would have to be true for staying to be the right answer. Output: a working criteria list, in your words.

02

The reveal

30–40 minutes, deliberately brief. We bring a candidate brief — 6–8 places screened against your real constraints: cost, schooling, healthcare, residency path, climate, language, community. First reactions only; the brief goes home with you, and the deliberation happens at your kitchen table.

03

Testing places against the life

75–90 minutes. Deep briefs on your surviving three — neighborhoods, first-year budgets, schooling, the residency path to investigate, what a scouting trip should test. We name the real cost of each option and close with a decision rule: what you'll do, by when, and what would change your mind.

The deliverable

Your Where Decision — a memo, yours to keep

Everything from the meetings and the research, written down once, so you're not reconstructing it from memory a year from now.

  • How you want to live — the criteria, in your words.
  • Your three places — the case, the cost, what a scouting visit must test.
  • The disqualified list — with reasons, so the second-guessing stops.
  • The Whether Gate — our honest read on whether this move serves the life you described, including "not yet."
  • The handoff map — which professionals to hire, for what, and roughly when.

Who's behind this

Wesley

Wesley leads every meeting personally. His background is clinical — trained to notice where what someone says and what they feel are pulling in different directions, and to say so, plainly. Here that attentiveness is aimed at one decision instead of a treatment plan.

Questions

Will this tell me where to move?

It'll tell you the honest candidates for your life — including ones you didn't expect. The final call is yours.

How long does the whole process take?

About 2–3 weeks from Meeting 1 to your finished memo, across three meetings and two research sprints.

What if my partner and I disagree?

That's usually the real material. You each complete the intake separately, and where you diverge becomes part of what we work with — not something we paper over.

Do I need a partner to do this?

No. This works just as well for one person deciding alone — the intake and meetings adapt to a household of one.

Start the conversation.

Tell us a little about where you are, and we'll follow up to schedule an intake.
